WHAT IS ARITHMETIC PROGRESSION(A.P)

A.P(Arithmetic Progression) is the sequence of numbers where there is a common difference between two consecutive numbers. Suppose if there is a sequence 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24....................... this sequence said to be arithmetic progression because there is constant common difference(i.e 3) between two consecutive numbers

Ques 1. Find sum of 1+(1+4)+(1+4+9)+(1+4+9+16)............ 4marks

Ques 2. Show that sum of m+nth term and m-nth term of A.P is equal to twice of mth term.        4marks

Ques 3. The ratio of A.M and G.M of two positive number a & b is m:n then show that a:b = m+(m2+n2)1/2 : m -(m2+n2)1/2   6marks

Ques 4. The ratio of (n)th term of two A.P's 3n+1:4n+3 find ratio of their mth term.                  4marks

Ques 5. If the sum of n terms of A.P is 3n2+5n & it's mth term is 164 find m.                         6marks
